Popular questions
How does the tag work?
Each tag has a unique QR code and a short code on the back. When someone scans it, your pet’s profile opens in their browser and you get an alert.
Does the finder need an app?
No. Any smartphone camera opens the profile. If they can’t scan, they can type the short code on the found-pet page.
Is it a GPS tracker?
It doesn’t track continuously, so there’s no battery. You get the finder’s GPS location when they scan and share it, which is when it matters.
What do I get for £9.99 a month?
SMS alerts, location sharing, missing pet mode, neighbourhood, vet and rescue alerts, number masking and free replacement tags. Without a plan the profile still works and you get email alerts.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. There’s no contract. If you cancel, the tag keeps showing the basic profile.
Does this replace a microchip?
No. Microchipping is a legal requirement for dogs and cats in England. The tag adds a fast way for anyone to reach you; the chip is the permanent backup.
What if the tag is lost or damaged?
Replacement tags are free on the Protect plan — you only pay postage. The new tag links to the same profile.
Does my dog still need its name tag?
The law requires a dog’s collar to show the owner’s name and address. You can add your surname and postcode to the back of a VoucherQR tag at checkout.
